Cough Treatment At Home
9 Month old still with fever after 4 days?
My son who is 9 months old, is still having a fevewr after 4 days of home treatment. his fevers go anywhere from 101.5 to 103.7. I took himto the ER once and they told me fevers can be from pretty much anything and to wait a couple days and have him re-checked, so yesterday i brought him to my family doctor who said he probably has a virus. The fever is acompanied with a wet cough which is producing mucus and a runny nose…and severe congestion in the nose and chest.
His fever isnt any better today and the congestion seems to be worse today as well. I have been giving tylenol and motrin alternating every 3 hours to try to keep the fever at bay but if i miss one does it spikes up to as high as 103.7 again.
what does everyone suggest i do?
